Here's what I am doing. 

Sometimes you have to shake things up a bit. 
Sailorgirl Jewelry will not be at the One of a Kind show this year. 
Instead, I am opening a storefront for a month!!!!

The shop is called The Lighten Up and the location is 1107 Queen St East, Toronto. It's right in the heart of Leslieville with great transit access and lots of parking. There's tons of restaurants, coffee shops and great small shops so you can make a whole day of coming to visit. There are 2 spectacular bakeries within a block!!!

I will be joined by some of my super talented crafty friends so it will feel like a mini craft show. Check out the line up here! 
This is something I've thought about for several years now, I cannot believe I'm actually making it happen. It is going to be SO awesome. 

My space at Studio 102 is very small and efficient. After years of having a lot of space and filling it with god knows what, I spent time decluttering and streamlining. It feels SO much lighter. It is however, a working studio not a showroom. So my jewelry is on its display boards but those are in a bin and not in a display case. 
Here's an idea, why don't I show you instead of just writing about it?

Excellent news my fellow Canadians! E-transfer is now available in my online shop! Under the payment section, simply select E-transfer and then click Complete Order.

Now here is the less-than-intuitive part. It is a 2 step process. You will then go to your online bank and send an e-transfer using the total amount from your order. To make it clear I made a little video showing the process.

It seems like just yesterday that I stashed my tent into my basement with a sigh. I blinked and here I am going over my checklist to make sure I can find everything! Time to pack it all into my little car and meet you in the sunshine and laugh and chat and revel in the delight of meeting in person. As much as I appreciate your support in my online adventures, it just isn’t quite the same as meeting up in person. So here we go again people! 

Ah metalsmithing. I should have loved it. A little fire, a lot of banging and hammering, playing with oodles of tools, what’s not to love? Turns out for me, most of it is not to love.
