Where it began...

Long ago on a sunny seashore, as I wandered along staring down with a bag in hand, he looked at me and said, "really? more shells? what are you going to do with all of them?"

Long ago, when sailing ships ruled the waves, a captain and his crew were in danger of being boarded by a pirate ship. As the crew became frantic, the captain bellowed to his First Mate, "Bring me my red shirt!" The First Mate retrieved the captain's red shirt, which the captain put on and lead the crew to battle the pirates. With a brave fight the pirates were repelled.

Can we talk? This is bothering me immensely.

Can we talk for a minute? This has been sitting in the back of my brain for ages and I haven't had a chance to talk about it.

On Monday September 1, 2025 silver was $40.68 USD/oz.

On Tuesday December 30, 2025 it closed at $77.91 USD/oz.

That is 4 months.

Here's what I am doing.

Pop Up Shop!

Sometimes you have to shake things up a bit.
Sailorgirl Jewelry will not be at the One of a Kind show this year.
Instead, I am opening a storefront for a month!!!!

The shop is called The Lighten Up and the location is 1107 Queen St East, Toronto. It's right in the heart of Leslieville with great transit access and lots of parking. There's tons of restaurants, coffee shops and great small shops so you can make a whole day of coming to visit. There are 2 spectacular bakeries within a block!!!

I will be joined by some of my super talented crafty friends so it will feel like a mini craft show. Check out the line up here!
This is something I've thought about for several years now, I cannot believe I'm actually making it happen. It is going to be SO awesome.

Studio Open House

My space at Studio 102 is very small and efficient. After years of having a lot of space and filling it with god knows what, I spent time decluttering and streamlining. It feels SO much lighter. It is however, a working studio not a showroom. So my jewelry is on its display boards but those are in a bin and not in a display case.
Here's an idea, why don't I show you instead of just writing about it?
