rainbow necklace
You can’t have a rainbow without a little rain.
Rainbows are a symbol of hope, of joy, of happiness. Since the first rainbow flag was designed in June 1978 by Gilbert Baker, rainbows are a symbol of pride, defiance and hope for acceptance and respect for the 2SLGBTQI community.
In these gloomy, pessimistic and increasingly intolerant times we are living in, rainbows are needed. We need hope.
Wear a rainbow. Be an ally. Dream in colour.
My hands made this rainbow necklace. The glass beads are approximately 12mm x 8mm. The necklace is on Greek leather cord that is adjustable. The longest length is approximately 29" so it slips on over your head.
My hands made these beads. I use Effetre glass, a little CIM and occasionally Vetrofond. All my beads are kiln annealed, thoroughly cleaned and inspected. There is no paint on any of my beads, just glass upon glass upon glass.
Please remember the jewelry looks larger than life in the pictures which is why it is important to check the size. I have tried to capture the colours as accurately as possible but many monitors vary.
