Day 22 - Jewels bracelet
This is everything I love about glass. The light, the transparency, the colours, oh you should see this is one in sunshine! I am loving the jewel tones these days, thoughts of rubies and peridot and topaz.
Each of the 8 jewel beads measures approximately 18mm x 18mm. They are connected with sterling silver findings and the bracelet is finished with a beautifully elegant sterling silver toggle clasp. The total length of the bracelet is 7 1/2" and this fits a small size wrist. I also made a second bracelet with 9 beads. This one measures 8 3/8" and fits a medium/large wrist.
My hands made these beads. I use Effetre glass, a little CIM and occasionally Vetrofond. All my beads are kiln annealed, thoroughly cleaned and inspected. There is no paint on any of my beads, just glass upon glass upon glass.
Please remember the jewelry looks larger than life in the pictures which is why it is important to check the size. I have tried to capture the colours as accurately as possible but many monitors vary.
